What is Manglik dosha?
Manglik (Mangal) dosha forms when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house counted from the ascendant, Moon, or Venus. It is checked from three separate reference points, so Mars in one qualifying house does not always mean the chart is Manglik overall.
Being Manglik by itself is not proof of anything good or bad. Traditional astrology recognises several situations where the dosha is considered cancelled, such as when both the groom and bride are Manglik.
