Incorporating a company, signing a lease, or opening for business abroad follows the same traditional muhurat guidance used in India, just computed for your actual city and time zone.

The traditional guidance

Shukla Paksha tithis, and Wednesday or Thursday (ruled by Mercury and Jupiter, both traditionally associated with commerce and wisdom) are considered favorable for a business launch. Avoiding Amavasya, Rikta tithis (Chaturthi, Navami, Chaturdashi), Bhadra and Rahu Kaal follows the same rules everywhere.

What is different abroad

Government filing systems (like a US LLC formation or UK company registration) usually process on their own schedule, which may not align with your preferred muhurat window exactly. Treat the muhurat as guidance for your symbolic first action, such as the first sale, first client meeting, or opening the doors, rather than the paperwork filing date if the two cannot be aligned.

Checking the day-of timing

Once you have a candidate launch day, check that day’s Rahu Kaal and Abhijit Muhurat for your city on the muhurat page, and plan the actual opening moment outside Rahu Kaal.
